The snow starts to fall
On this balcony
Over Rue Saint-Denis, Paris, France
It sways in the wind
Like the veil of some bride
Who is dancing her very first dance
And it touches my skin
And then melts away
Like mercury grasped in my hands

And then I say I might jump
And you say I’m not the type
That I’ve never been chasing those highs
But maybe I like the comedown
Maybe I’m just here for the fall

Now the snow is increasing
While down in the streets
The two wings begin to collide
And later this evening
I’ll turn on the T.V.
To see how many people have died

Into this wilderness of white
